scribd PDF docs with Scribd

A kind of YouTube for e-books, Scribd lets you view documents online and
share your own documents with the world.

You can upload one or more documents without even signing up. Scribd supports
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF and other popular formats. It features an embedded
viewer that lets you read documents online, so there’s no need to download
anything. However, you can download documents in a variety of formats; print
them; view them full-screen; and even hear them read aloud. If you do sign up,
you can see various analytics about your documents, such as how many people read
them and from what locations.

This thing is seriously cool, a great way to find and share information. I’m
concerned that copyright violations could cause it trouble (witness YouTube),
but I suspect Scribd will be with us for a long time to come.

vconvert Save YOUTUBE vidioes for any device
Web site vConvert.net grabs videos from YouTube and converts them
to compatible formats for your iPod/iPhone, mobile phone, PSP, and more. What’s
more, if you only want the audio from a video, vConvert can convert just the
audio to an MP3. We’ve seen desktop
apps
that promise the same conversions (and one
other web site
), but if you don’t want to install an application to handle
this simple transcode, vConvert is a very good and simple alternative. Just give
it a YouTube URL, select what you want to convert it for, then click Convert and
Download. After a minute or two of processing, you should see a download link
for the video.

Bookmarking: Custom Google Search Your Del.icio.us Bookmarks with deliGoo

deligoo Del.icio.us bookmarking with IE

Search the contents of every web page you’ve ever bookmarked with
del.icio.us using a dynamically built Google Custom Search engine from
deliGoo. Just point your browser to the deliGoo homepage, enter the
username and optional tag you want to search, and then enter your
search terms and click Goo. deliGoo will analyze your del.icio.us
account and create a Google Custom Search Engine,
then use it to search the contents of every site for a match. If you’re
a prolific bookmarker and you’ve run into a situation where you know
you’ve bookmarked a page, remember what it was about, but can’t find it
using your tags, a deliGoo search might be just what the doctor
ordered.
